There's extra security set up on the CC machine at gas pumps. It knows its a prepaid card, so it will hold all the funds available on your card for probably 7 days. Any retailer that accepts CC has to batch out their machine before any of those funds are deposited into their bank account. This is why they hold the funds. And honestly for whatever reason that I don't understand it seems that these cards can't be used to pay bills online or over the phone.

It also let me set up a 4 digit pin on the website. The card works fine but it does tell you where and how to use it. If you're using it to get gas pay inside not at the pump. You can't pay over the phone using this card, and it also states you can't use it for online orders, because it doesn't have your name on the front so it's not verifiable.

Otherwise, we got gas today and paid inside it worked fine, used at a drive thru and worked fine so I have no complaints. It's good for things like that, as far as paying bills I don't think it will work.

Also if you go to check out and you're wanting to use you're remaining balance along with another form of payment to cover the difference you must tell the cashier the exact amount you want to take off the card, or it will decline it. Overall, it's just what I needed and so far I've had no issues with it. It says that it is accepted everywhere MC and Visa Debit cards are accepted but I tried to pay a bill with one and that didn't happen.
