The Aid Transparency Index
The Corruption Perceptions Index ranks countries and territories by their perceived levels of public sector corruption, according to experts and business people. See previous CPI results. The index offers an annual snapshot of the relative degree of corruption by ranking countries and territories from all over the globe.
In , Transparency International revised the methodology used to construct the index to allow for comparison of scores from one year to the next. The CPI draws on 13 surveys and expert assessments to measure public sector corruption in countries and territories, giving each a score from zero highly corrupt to very clean. Governments are struggling with a scarcity of medical supplies during the coronavirus or COVID pandemic, and rushed procurement practices that result in lower quality goods, price gouging, undue influence and limited access to information, among other corruption risks.
The coronavirus or COVID pandemic forced governments to respond to an unexpected global health crisis with drastic and immediate measures. In order to speed up the purchasing times of vital medical supplies and equipment, contracting authorities are using existing framework agreements with suppliers to expedite delivery.

A new ranking system for academic journals measuring their commitment to research transparency will be launched next month — providing what many believe will be a useful alternative to journal impact scores. Among the measures of assessment are whether the publications ask authors to share their raw data or if they set standards for research design disclosure. On data sharing, for example, journals would be given a one-out-of-three score for publishing a data availability statement, two for requiring authors to share data subject to exceptions and a full three out of three for providing enough data to enable full replication. TI is an international non-governmental organization which is based in Berlin , Germany , and was founded in Its nonprofit purpose is to take action to combat global [1] corruption with civil societal anti-corruption measures and to prevent criminal activities arising from corruption. Transparency International has the legal status of a German registered voluntary association Eingetragener Verein and serves as an umbrella organization. Its members have grown from a few individuals to more than national chapters which engage in fighting corruption in their home countries.
